Sorta... Anyway I just burned my thumb on a hot pan on accident, enough to get rid of the tip of my fingerprint (don't worry it didn't hurt). The problem? With a smooth thumb, it no longer grips the surface of the trackball, so I can't use my thumb to roll it. kinda sucks, lol

They probably did not have that in mind when designing the trackball... in the meantime, stick a band-aid on it!! I hope you feel better haha

Fingerprints grow back as soon as new skin grows back. If it doesn't, wouldn't all criminals purposely burn their fingers to avoid prints?

yeah, lol i've burned and scraped them off before, they come back. although i've got one part on one of my finger that's scarred from slicing a chunk off when i was little with a pocketknife

Every once in a while the tips of my fingers will get sore from using my phone so much and the skin will peel off kind of like a sunburn.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?
