where does it say it has a "bad esn"?

besides, the 9000 is a GSM device, and GSM devices arent access controlled by their IMEI... they're controlled by their SIM card.

only CDMA devices are access controlled by the ESN.

Yeah you won't get anything near 380 for a bold 9000.
