The seller has a 100% satisfction rating and what appears to be legit photos. Very odd. But.... I would not pay $700!

you know, ive got the verizon 9650. i sent pictures to crackberry but they didnt run it. i dont know if itll let me post pictures here or not, but it's legit.

$700's the "buy it now" price. most likely probably go for less than that. It's got finger smudges on it.
I recall back when a hofo member paid about $1500 for a nokia e90 just to be the first.

Remember we had Verizon 9650's floating around on December of last year, so this could be one of them and only have the 256mb instead of the 512mb one. Or it could be a new one... I'd rather not risk it. Its only 2 weeks away guys.

I think its the new Bold though because it says Bold on the back of the phone unlike test units that had only 256mb of memory.

you are 100% right. Then it must be someone that got it before its release. A lot of celebs and people with privileges in Verizon get to have these a couple of weeks in advanced.

Don't know about celeb status, but he is a dealer of some sort. I tried to ask him about it last weekend and all he said was he got it to sell on eBay maybe.

I don't know if VZW's baterry door will look different, but doesn't the Bold on Sprint have the door with lines going across it? This makes me think that the phone this guy is auctioning is some kind of pre-release version because it doesn't have the door with the lines. Instead it has the same door as the Tour.

the difference between Sprint and Verizon Bolds are as follows..

Sprint Bolds has a bright Bezel
Verizon Bolds has the dark Bezel

Sprint Bolds has lines across the battery door
Verizon Bolds have a carbon fiber look just like the Tours battery cover

thats the only difference in looks between carrier brands of the same phone

$700 is what this sale will go for if it goes, the Buy it now price is the only offer made, there is no bidding offered.

Sure you can but it requires taking the phone apart and voiding the warranty. I prefer the dark bezel myself.

Sorry to say there is a sucker born every day. There are people right now that are selling, and have sold, the Sprint Blackberry Bold 9650 for 499.99. Happens all the time with people that think Best Buy is the only place to compare phone prices.

I wouldnt doubt that someone bought it, hopefully they arent in for a rude awakening when the PIN dies @ launch.

There are a lot of test devices out there, my friends have had a couple of them, the pins will die upon the release, then you have a $700 paperweight.
