Me and my husband are the perfect example... When the 9800 comes out in June (i hope) me and my husband will be going into AT&T to get new phone. My husband will be getting the new iphone and I will be getting the Blackberry. My husband doesn't really like blackberrys and I don't really like the iphone. AT&T Is going after two kind of ppl.

Some ppl said that AT&T would be stupid for having the 9800 come out at the same time at the new iphone HD, but not everyone is an iphone person. There are lots of ppl out there at love their Blackberry as much as I love mine.

    That just my two cents......

People like me that won't even get this for myself because I can't physically use a touch screen device due to disabilities. I have to use a physical keyboard.

Also, many of us think it's not right to have to "JAILBREAK" a phone to install any app you want on it. Apple is being very Orwellian in their control of iPhones, what apps you can and can't install... I mean, it's not my thing, but if you want to install an app to watch porn on your phone, hey, it's your bandwidth, your phone, you should be able to do it. Instead, Steve Jobs calls you a pervert (refer to his comments about the Android Market not filtering adult connect).

Even if Apple came out with a physical keyboard (Slider like the 9800) I would not buy it as long as you have to HACK (Jailbreak) it to use it as you want to.

Agreed, different strokes for different folks... The real question is, why aren't you with AT&T, home of the nation's fastest 3G network, already?? LOOOL! ))

No seriously, you'll be happy with the 9800. And I'm sure he'll be happy with the new Iphone. As you said, some ppl don't like things others do. It's nice to have a wide variety of choices when choosing a smartphone.

Well said, you too CX. I agree with you completely. I like the iPhone but am not a fan of the whole touchscreen keyboard, which is why I really like the 9800 as I *shouldn't* have an issue with typing with they keyboard on the 9800. If the new iPhone had a good physical keyboard to slide on it, I may consider trying it out, but it doesn't. The iPhone is a great phone IMO but they keyboard on it is a HUGE thing for me as I type a lot on my phone. I hope the 9800 lives up to its hype, if so, I will be getting my hands on it myself.

My wife has an iPhone and I do like the memory, apps and large screen. I have a Bold 9000 for work and personal use. My work does allow iPhones but I still have a problem with the touchscreen typing. Maybe if I used it every day I could get close to the speed that I can get typing on my Bold. I doubt it, though. I do a lot of work and emailing on my Bold and cannot imagine not having a physical keyboard. I will try out the iPhone and 9800 when they come out to see which one I like better but I am already leaning towards the 9800.

We are on AT&T already.... lol. He has the Iphone 3gs, and I have the 9000 (which I love) my first one broke a couple of week ago. And within a week i had another one. I know I will love the 9800, just don't want to have to wait a couple of months to get it.
