Just get the Tour unlocked, there are many companies here on CB that will do it for you.

Did you login to the BIS website and do a device swap?

Yes but i always appear to get an error. About Host Tables or something. I do what they ask me to do incase it happens,it still doesn't work so i called my network provider and they told me since my phone wasnt covered so it wouldnt work....

Did you check the frequencies your carrier operates? 3G/Edge on the tour might not be compatible with your carrier's frequencies. Other than that, I don't know how to fix it. Good luck!

Look up the phone specs. But I think EDGE uses a universal frequency actually. I know it's the same for AT&T and T-Mobile here in the states but they use different 3G frequencies (700 MHz vs. 1800 or 1900 MHz for AT&T).

If its a competitor, most likely it has a different frequency.
