For some reason, deleting hotmail emails from my phone is not actually deleting them from my inbox. Also emails aren't showing as read when I open them on the phone.

I could have sworn hotmail synced before, but I don't recall. Is there anyway I can fix this, or is it working as intended?

One thing you can do is go into your BIS access through your network provider and access your email accounts you have attached to your berry. Then , specific for hotmail accounts look at the bottom of the settings for change account protocol. This changes the service from pop3 email to push email. I done this a few days ago and it seems to havw worked quite well for me.

However I don't get emails which I have read on my computer, showing up as read on my berry.

well i am assuming that you have that hotmail set up to delete "mailbox & handheld", but then again maybe that doesn't work either, i know it works on my roadrunner account, not sure of hotmail, because i don't have hotmail set up that way. But i do know that even if i read my hotmail from my phone it still shows unread in my actual inbox
