Hi. This is my v8 hybrid. I'm using the .656 based (only 33 files used) mixed with OS 5.0.0.692 full Java.

    The About screen & (alt+shift+h) shows v.5.0.0.692

    BBM 5.0.0.66 also included.

*After download, replace your .656 Java folder with this one*

It's been tested carefully with no issues found!!!

    lifestartat17's 9700 Hybird v8 (.656/.692)

For those who likes my 604 browser patch (will boost your browser speed) download the file below

well, I'm only using 33 files from 656, so the java file is almost 95% are from 692. If you want a faster browser, mixed it with my 604-Browser-Patch then try to load this page The Acid3 Test to test the render speed (mine is mostly under 40 sec, the score is 93/100)

Mostly everything gets a 93/94. Even all my laptops get it.

Does that Acid Test ever score anything under 93%?

Just tried it several times using base .656 and it's 93% every time...

No, thats the issue with the acid3 test. You can do it on virtually anything and it gets the same scored

Here I sit, on EDGE, in the slowest bloody data area I've ever experienced, and I scored:

Also inaccurate, but at least somewhat realistic:
Whoops! Sent up the wrong speed test at first, but now corrected

It's not about the score that I'm talking about, it's about the render speed, from 1 to last score.

I didn't see a render speed, but I did have this lovely shade of pink:

This file size is about 40MB while Pwncakes is about 75MB.. So whats the diff again?

With only 33 files being .656, how about Pwncakes?

I am not interested in the .604 browser but wondering more about the usability and stability...

Well so far the usability and stability are increased. So if there's any findings just let us know.

So far so good. At least no issue with the voice recorder part. Usability, stability pretty much the same.. In fact, I don't see improvement since .593 to .656 to Pwncakes v5.2 to this one.. It maybe psychological.

Well but I am happy with this right now. More files are upgraded to .692 compared to Pwncakes v5.2

I am also trying your build, after using Pwncakes Hybrids almost exclusively. I have not noticed any issues. I did try the 604 Browser and I noticed that rendering seems slightly faster than Pwncakes v520 version. However, when the 604 Browser pages through past webpages, it appears to take slightly longer.

Overall, I think you did a fine job lifestartat17. Kudos.

The more Hybrid competition, the better the end product will be!

Like other board members, I prefer stability, reliability, and speed (and in that order).
