Is it covered in gold and diamonds? If not, you have a slim chance of finding a person gullible enough to do trade you a brand new phone for a year old one.
The 9700 will be very cheap when the 9800 becomes available.
I thought the Slider 9800 was going to be a CDMA device, and the 9700 is a GSM. Not only are you asking for a trade, but you're asking someone to sign a new contract, (or buy a new device at retail) and then just trade it for your ole crusty custom 9700?!?! I wonder what the extra incentive would be...

Actually this kid has a chance, I'm sure there will be a lot of impulsive people that buy this phone but will end up hating it or wanting another phone.

exactly. At least there is one person who at least thinks and isnt a complete tool.

Possibly, but a consumer has 1 month (30 days) to decide whether or not the device is right for them. Most of us on Crackberry know this and returning that device to the place you got it for a full refund without a hassle is still the more appealing option.
I'm not trying to knock the OP, but realistically speaking, I think an average person would want to customize their own device and be the one responsible for whatever goes wrong. I also think that I speak for many by saying there is very little interest in trading a brand new device w/ warranty for an older device that is out of warranty.
