Have you checked the blackberry app world? I'm pretty sure I have seen apps for both of those somewhere in the app world.

Tip calculator? Can't you use the built-in calculator? Why do you need a special app for that? Plus whatever happened to figuring tips in your head...15%, 20%, pretty easy

    Hi J5

Yes, I did, the only one I found that seems close was Hours Tracker. Was that the one you saw as well?

Ok I'll be a little more specific with an example. Once you do this a few times you will get the hang of it.

It's hard for most people to think in terms of 15% or even 20% sometimes, so just start with ten percent and let's see how we can calculate a 15% or 20% (I'm generous especially when I get good service) tip.

    The bill comes to 113.50.

    Let's figure a 15% tip.

Ten percent of 113.50 is 11.35. Round up in your head to 12 bucks. Then to figure the other 5 percent you need to add up to 15 percent, take half of the ten percent (we said 12 bucks) is 6 bucks. The tip should be 18 dollars. That's a 15% tip rounded up. It's actually a little more, but close enough for government work.

Suppose you're also a generous tipper. Just double the ten percent ($12) and give 24 dollars.

Does this help? I've been doing it so long I can't remember any other way.
