Did a brief search about this and didn't find a poll. Figured I'd post one and see what people thought...

If I still had a S2, I would torch it up. However, if / when 6.0 comes out for the S2, I might switch back!

S***. I should have added the 9700 to the mix and cross posted the poll in the 9700 forum.

Doesn't matter. Reliable sources have already confirmed OS6 for the 9550.

Im personally of the persuasion that believes it when he sees it. Interesting how there are still voters happy with not getting an upgrade. Is there some kind of concrete source approved by Lazeridis that states S2 will get it?

    What a dumb question.
Of course OS6 will be available for Storm2, don't lose any sleep over it.
I thought it was a good question............why did you bother answering?

Sounds like a Verizon employee trying to get a promotion or rate increase without actually performing your own research.

There should be a 4th option.
    4. Buy the replacement to the S2 when it becomes available with 6.0.

I am pretty confident that the S2 will get BB6. However, I am concerned that it might take a while for it to be released. I can see RIM holding back on releasing the new OS for fear of hurting the sale of new phones.

Then again they may want to use us old phone owners as guinea pigs before they release it on a new phone.

I just bought a brand-spanking new toaster. I sure hope it will be OS6 compatible. if not I am switching to bagels. That's all there is to it.

Haha. I have residences in Canada and the US and there's NO way I would ever work for Verizon. That's a hilarious assumption on your part though. The only reason I use verizon is that they offer a flat rate Canada calling plan for Roaming and Long distance including data. AT&T used to, and when they did, I used them...

I am genuinely curious about how the remaining S2 users feel about their phones and RIMs inability to keep up with their growing competition. As stated before, I have to use Verizon so I am limited to the devices on their network. Pretty much why I ended up in the 9530 mess and migrated to the S2 after giving Verizon an earfull. I hope Verizon relayed my fury to RIM. Now that Verizon has some decent Andriod devices, this is where I'll likely go depending on what happens with my S2 and OS6. Judging from the poll results so far, it sounds like others will be moving away from RIM as well....

I'm fine with 607, so if 6.0 doesn't come to the Storm, I'm not going to fret.

Even though Opera is buggy with it and BBM group chat is also broken? I could see that if everything worked flawlessly, you could deal without the new features of OS6. But that's not even the case...

Bingo...finally someone got the right answer! The question is somewhat superfluous as it's pretty well certain that the 2 will get the 6, though it's possible it won't work quite up to it's potential. That being said, of course there should be an option in the poll to simply upgrade if 6 is that important to you.

Personally, I'd probably buy an upgraded device, but in the meantime, I'm not going to sit here and worry about whether or not my phone will-or will not-work with 6. There's far too many other things to worry about in life!

There should be a 4th option.
