I want to play video on my computer, and stream the audio to my BlackBerry as the video plays on my PC...over WIFI.
Here is what I have found so far and I need someone to help me get it all to work.
VLC supports streaming to an Icecast server. I know I can listen to things over Icecast, because twit.am works on my BlackBerry. Only problem is, I can't figure out how to get VLC to actually stream to IceCast, and all the documentation on the web is outdated.
If someone can help get VLC to stream to a local IceCast server, I can just point my BlackBerry browser to that server...and it should work, right?
Any thoughts? Or a blindingly stupid simple solution I've overlooked?
Not 5 minutes after I posted this, I got Jamcast to work flawlessly. Only problem there is a slight lag. I was hoping it would've been seamless considering it was my LAN.
So, if anyone knows how to reduce the lag on Jamcast or any other way, please let me know.
