I went to see if there were any updates for any of the apps on my phone, but it brought up a window showing the official OS versions. One was the 5.0.0.591 and then right below it was 5.0.0.591 (Downgrade). So I was wondering, are they both the same things or are they different?

No they aren't the same....the one that has downgrade next to it was the original OS 5.0 update for the Tour...bout 3 days later, VZW release a higher platform number...I can't remember what the original was but the updated platform # is 4.2.0.284
