I'm using OS 5.0.0.592. Should I keep it or should I get another OS?
This was the first time I upgraded. But I would like to know if it is a better os out.
the battery life when i first updated was not very good. but after a couple of days the battery life sinked in nicely.but i keep mine on edge for most of the day. 3g reduces battery life greatly. but edge is still snappier so im ok with it.
I'm using 592 right now, and it works great for me. Every time i upgraded my OS, it got better. My BB9000 is steady at 30mbs of memory, and the battery stays strong all day. Will give 610 a try just as soon as it becomes "official" somewhere in the Blackberry world.
I agree, .610 is ther best I've had thus far -- I'm pushing 2 weeks with it on the phone and it has settled in quite well. I only had .592 (the "official" version, not the leaked one) on my phone for less than a week, but I won't hesitate in saying that .610 has run better in terms of memory and battery management.

I just went from .592 to .610. Free memory on battery pull is higher. Will report back on battery life and memory leaks. Otherwise, everything else looks the same.
I had really bad memory leaks on 610. I got rig of it and went back to 4.6. I like the changes in 5.0 but I started the day at about 20 mbs and would end up with only 3 at before the day was through. I have about and extra 13 mb file free with the same apps with 4.6

.610 hands down! Got an extra 5mb memory after loading the os. Been using it for 2days now and battery seems to have improved lasting me another 3hrs or so. Waiting for the official ver. to be released then I'll see if I can still free up some memory.

Yeah, it looks like .610 is better than .592 for me. About 5MB more free memory on reboot and more stability of memory. I would get down under 10MB free on .592, and .610 seems to hover around 15MB. I think it's a better build.
