- When I try to put an item in my calendar, my handheld automatically sets Facebook as the default calendar and I have to change it to Outlook.
I have Outlook as the "blue" calendar and my "blue" calendar is listed as default. I don't know why this is like this.
Any ideas?
Thanks04-28-10 03:11 PMLike 0 - My ex (whom I'm still very friendly with and, on my suggestion, bought a Storm 2 as well), has the exact same problem. She's asked me for help on this several times and I've yet to figure it out. I first told her to go to her Facebook account and uncheck the Facebook Calendar options. Then, I had her go to OPTIONS/ADVANCED OPTIONS/DEFAULT SERVICES and set her Default for both her primary email name and the Messaging (CMIME) to the same thing. Then be sure to hit "SAVE."
When she said it was still an issue, I had her open her Calendar, hit the BB button, go to "SELECT CALENDAR" and change it from "Show All Calendars" to the one she wanted to use. There is no "SAVE" option after this, so I don't know if it simply remembers your last setting or not. I have never had a problem with this, I never use my Facebook calendar for anything (and I'm clueless why anyone would want to).
I have not heard from her on this in a while, so I am assuming all is well, but I'd love to hear what others have to say on the issue.
EDIT: I see Wader was posting at the same time I wrote my own response, thankfully, we seem to agree I should have mentioned that someone may respond with "delete the calendar you don't want from your Service Books, which would work..until the next time your Service Books are updated, should you have some setting on your FaceBook page that uses the calendar.Last edited by EnergyPlus; 04-28-10 at 03:21 PM.
