how is everybody finding multi colored keyboards, or housings. i can guess that the housings are painted but the keyboards?
truesupplier has tons of them to offer my complete orange housing arrives tommorow and i cant wait to put it on my wife wanted me to do her 8530 in green so i ordered the battery door faceplate and screen she loves it i am not keen on that one though but she is happy
I got two kits on ebay, white and blue and just mixed and matched... It's not to difficult, just order the housings, and they come with the tools. All you need to do is watch a youtube tutorial and you're set. I left the bezel as the stock part because they camera antenna etc are glued to it. This also eliminated my standby and lock buttons, but i didnt care cause i dont use them anyway.

Why did this eliminate the lock and standby buttons? I was thinking of doing this but I use my lock button! Would like to retain the lock feature. Also, i see that those kits are all from Hong Kong. How long did that take to get?

You don't HAVE to eliminate the Lock and Mute buttons. You can transfer them over to the new housing. They are glued on, so you have to carefully peel them off and then re stick them on the new housing. Shipping time is roughly 2 weeks.

I tried a complete white housing (from ebay) on mine that ended up being too bright, especially since the LED would light up half the top of the earpiece, but I did end up keeping the white keyboard. However, the trackball sat too low in the hole and where the BB and back buttons are connected ended up cracking, so I reverted back to the standard keyboard. Are you having this problem? Maybe buying from someone else would provide me with a keyboard that fit better.
