Just downloaded Dragon for Email but it won't complete the set up process. I keep getting errors communicating with server when I'm prompted to say "Dragon For Email".
Anyone gotten this new app to work yet?
EDIT: FIXED! (need to reboot phone following installation)
OK. thanks! I called Nuance, got a phone number for tech support, and all I get from that number is "all circuits are busy". the number they gave me is 781-965-5000 which is in or around Boston.
If anyone knows another number that connects to tech support, let me know, please. or an email addy. I originally called their main number, 781-565-5000 but when I asked for tech support, they gave me the 965 number.
not if it does emails. I couldn't get vlingo to stop giving me error 523, IIRC. I had to remove it from my phone. so far, dragon is working awesomely well.
Is there any need to get this app if I've already got Vlingo?
If Vlingo is working well for you probably not; most users myself included have had all sorts of volume issues/problems with media player, slacker, and pandora caused by Vlingo that have made us uninstall it. Vlingo is aware of the issue, but does not have a fix or will not estimate when one might be available.
I like the Dragon program but I find it difficult when I don't want to use it, the program takes over and won't let me use the keyboard without much effort. Is there something I am missing.

You are right--there seems to be no simple way to get the keyboard to respond to input, except sporadically. It seems as if u let it process voice for a field, then go to the body of the email and say a phrase or sentence or two, you can type AFTER it has processed the text. Then, if you want, you can hold the convenience key again and say something else and then it processes and displays the text, again allowing the keyboard to work "in between" voice recognition events.
The trouble seems to occur when u are in an empty field. You have to process voice in a field, before getting the keyboard to respond. Therefore, I think I can live with it.
The biggest problem I see (as it stands now) is being unable to type in the "To" field, someone that's not in your contacts list.
