Has anyone experienced a memory leak with the new Twitter App from RIM? It's the only new app I've installed lately and I seem to have a major one. Before I uninstall, is there some way of stopping it?

I doubt theres a way to stop it besides uninstalling it.

I decided to download the latest version on my Bold 9000 and have had major memory issues. I had another minor update of Quick Launch, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I uninstalled the Twitter app and everything seems to be much better now. Too bad, but I guess I'll go back to UberTwitter.

I now have the final release running on my 9700 with the latest OS. The memory leak still seems to be present causing laggy performance and occasional locking up. Anyone else experience this? Could really do with the help.

Interesting. I had a new, medium memory leak coincident with BB Twitter installation. No unusual locking up noted. The association escaped my notice until now. Lack of character count and no Twitlonger led to deletion. Maybe now memory will stabilize again.
