Trust me, there will be a significant difference. The 3GS is good but the 4th gen iPhone should have a faster processor and better battery life. I don't know about you but the battery life on my 3GS sucks. I'm surprised my Droid overclocked at 900MHz can get a day with 50% left whereas my iPhone at 600MHz without apps in the background is dead before I get home.

Please Apple! Throw in at least a 1400 mah battery in your next phone and maybe make it user replaceable?

Hardware was mostly what I was posting about.. it looks very iPad'sh. I can see it be aluminum with the top cutout (like th iPad) for 3G, 3.5G(7.2) and WiFi.

I also believe with the top mounted clearance it will give better reception for all radios.

I hope it has the aluminum finish like the other line of products. To me it makes the device feel more distinct and expensive than plastic. Don't need the aluminum like the original iPhone, just the lightweight, energy efficient kind they are using now. Hopefully we can get way better battery life. My iPad battery lasts for days without charge. Many of the products now are energy efficient and feature long battery life. I hope they bring this to the next iPhone. Either way, I got my upgrade locked and loaded.

They would have to have all the externals the same.. I don't see them keeping it three years.

I'm sure the after market is begging for a design change.. just more money for them.

LOL. More than likely, everything will work except for a case and screen protectors. I would also think, it would still fit docks to play music. Other than that, what other accessories do you think would be a pain to re-buy?

Anyway...

With more providers worldwide going GSM 3g & 3.5g, improve the user experince by going with a faster, more powerful processor AND allowing faster data transfer, say 14Mb/s.

And yes, I know that is a theoretical maximum you may never achieve in the real world, blah blah blah...
