So sometime between last night and today, I noticed that my BBM icon disappeared and backup assistant appeared.

I tried resending my service books and still no BBM....Tried reloading it from Blackberry.com and no BBM.

Wiped the device and reloaded .607 and still no BBM.

Thoughts?

go to app world and re download it

Tried reloading it through App World and that didn't work.

Tried going to the Messenger web page directly and loaded it there and that didn't work either.

I even did a battery pull after each try.

look in your "instant messaging" folder. If not there check "downloads"

I've check every folder; everywhere.....BBM is no where to be found..

Happened to me before on my Bold9000. Eventually it came back... Though to this date I'm not sure how... I would say the whole patients spiel right about now, but it could possibly be a bug.

I would check under options/applications to see if it is there. If so delete it there then go to www.blackberry.com/messenger and download it again fresh.

Did the icon get "hidden" somehow? Have you tried "Show All" from the menu?

So I went to Options / Applications (Core) and it is not there. Very strange.

I have installed BBM from App World as well as www.blackberry.com\messenger and it's still not appearing.

I'm getting annoyed?


So I uninstalled DM, reinstalled it and then checked for updated software. BBM showed up on the options and is now working.

Since the upgrade to .607 I have BBM constantly running in the background and I can not delete it.

Is there a way to stop it running in the background and/or delete it ?
