Hey my boyfriend has a Verizon 8530 5.0.0.508 and it won't play any media files even the ones that come on the phone. He noticed because the alarm noise didn't go off and he had this problem before but after I updated it for him it seemed to work for a little while. When I try and open the files it says "Uncaught exception: The player is closed" Any ideas what it could be?

The update was probably unsuccessful, try installing the latest OS again using BlackBerry DM.
