Hi guys,

I'm searching for an OEM like battery meter with the percentage indication like in many themes.
If one of you want to share it with me, I would really appreciate it. If not, I think there's a tutorial on how create your own meter, I've seen it days ago on CB, is there user friendly programs that will help a newb get his meter done?

PensHockey has a great example.

Mini tut: Battery meter is divided in two rows and 12 columns (or 'states'). Top row is regular battery and bottom is when the phone is being charged. Columns (left to right) are the various states of battery life from empty to fully charged. There is no 'set' dimensions.. so long as the final image size is cleanly divisible by 12 in width and 2 in height.

yeah we knew that, but we are beginer with photoshop/gimp and e believed that it would be much easier to ask instead of pass 2 hours on those software

yeah I know, we dont know the tricks and tips to use those softwares. But we will learn ! I'm pretty proud of my first theme! I'm already working on two others!

then goto file open and navigate to where the icons are in them builder

c:\program files\research in motion\blackberry theme studio 5.0/samples/themes/images select device....soemthign like that....

find the battery meter... add numbers to it.

its really not hard at all and you do not need to learn any program to do it. good luck.

Yeah, I had to spend some time on the translucent part behind the number. I used black outer glow at 30% first and seemed to work but realized that it would ONLY look nice on a black (or very dark ) background otherwise the black would show. So I removed the background and actually decreased the opacity of the area just around the number % so it can be used in any background color.
