I just did mine and it doesn't show up. Doesn't even seem like a lot has changed. Anyone else expecting it to be a lot more than it is?

Why do you need the 3G icon so bad? if you REALLY want the 3g icon then theres plenty of themes you can download and get it. Was the only thing you were looking forward to in the upgrade is the 3G icon? Sorry.

funny thing is that the visual voice mail update we got a week ago does show the 3G symbol when in the app.......very interesting

Don't sweat it Ntnme2lose. I'm with u, I really like the 3G logo too. Enough to stay with .419 where I have it with the patch and a solid OS.

the 3g icon is only on the newer Blackberrys, newer then the Tour. The Storm 2 has the 3g icon, and the new Curve also has the 3g icon... somethign only the newer Blackberry phones have now

There's a lot of things about the Tour that **** me off way more than the 3G icon. I agree it should be there but it's not high up on my list.

i want the 3g icon, i was already running 5.0 so the 3G WAS the only the thing i was hoping for.....I haveb been staring at 1XEV for 10 years(or however long phones have been syaing that....), 3G would be something new and different....

if you're coming from 4.7, general usage should feel noticeably snappier when navigating through menus or opening and closing apps, etc. If you had high hopes thinking they were really gonna impress us with some changes, sorry it was a letdown but they never promised it was some reworking from the ground up type of thing.

I guess this 3G thing will never die,, so here are a couple suggestions. You can either install a theme that has the 3G built in, like Foppa17(great theme) or for the long term fix, take a friggin blue sharpie and draw one on your damn screen...PROBLEM SOLVED!! LOL
