Is there any way we can tell our devices are up to date with BIS 3.0? I mean Gmail for example, how do I know if my Gmail plug-in is updated

Go to yer gmail inbox. Not the main messages app. Then hit the menu button, then go to labels. It takes you to the labels menu, which was always there. But now, if u hit the menu button, you can add and remove labels.
FYI, in the future, if an update has something that you need, you probably don't have to ask whther you are updated, bc you see the features, as they are part of something you use everyday. My guess is that you didn't notice the update bc you, like most users, don't care about labels. Epic update fail, RIM. When twoway gmail sync comes, everyone will notice
