I'm just curious to know if anyone else is thinking about not upgrading to the "official" 5.0 OS on Monday. I have been using .419 since it released with no problems and I have heard nothing but negatives about this OS that Verizon is releasing

I've been running the leaked .591 for a few days now and I have not experienced most of the issues some have reported.
Did lose the 3G icon and the mute button for standby.
I have noticed better battery life, memory usage is more stable, noticeable browser speed and speed between opening/closing apps.
Boot up speed consistently @ 4.5 minutes, down from about 7 minutes.
    So far, so good.
Hopefully Dripther's working on a hybrid for .591

Here is a link for the OS, not sure if it still works or not..but give it a try. Also this link might help you on the install if you haven't read through the forums on the procedure and welcome to the forum!!

I'll wait at least a week and see how the early adopters like it. I'm still running 4.7.1.61.

if it really is .591 that Verizon is going to release, there would be no need to wait around longer would there considering this OS is already out here and running by a lot of members here? For the most part we know how .591 is already, pretty solid besides a clicking problem on and off in the browser while trying to click on a link sometimes doesnt go.

Been running Driphter's .419 based v7.2 with 484 radio, no bugs, no issues. Unless .519 proves to be even faster and more stable than what I have now, I probably won't update. I think 484 is the best 9630 radio so far and the .5xx releases don't seem to be performing as well.

Agree, been running DV10 with stellar results. Will likely not go with the Big Red version.

if Vzw offer something higher than whats out now in the leak with no issues (bugs) then I'll upgrade...otherwise I'm sticking with .419 great os for me!

I got a feeling Verizon will release a slightly better OS than the leak right now. I am on the Sprint official and the one thing that annoys me is the browser and I will probably change over when it comes out.

    2 reasons I'll wait a few days.

    1) To scan here for a post that reads something like "I installed the new Verizon OS and now my phone doesn't work!" (The poster will probably use caps lock and a lot more exclamation points)

    2) I'm a trucker and won't have time 'til at least Wednesday, I usually like others to break new electronic trails before I head down 'em.

    Thanks to the trailblazers.

Yes it is awesome... hopefully when Verizon finally drops their big OS 5, it will be .6?? and give us some new stellar hybrids to look forward too!!

I might wait. I only use official versions and even then I might wait a few days or weeks to see everyone's feedback. 4.7 works fine for me

I will most likely upgrade. I have Sprints version, but just as a personal thing, I would feel better about using my actual carriers release. They release theirs for a reason, you know? I don't know it's just a personal opinion!

I just loaded DV10 as well- pretty flawless. I have no real compliants altough I do sometimes havethe Browser click issue. I have to assume if Big red releases.591, it will be the same as leaked- But I'll wait for hte reviews to see.

So far - I till like shrinked Hybrids ! They Rock !
