I have a Bold 9000, and I was wondering if there is a trackball that would stick out more than the OES one? It seems almost countersunk...

There all the same size. Its a ball...If it were bigger it would be bigger all around and not fit in the phone.

I understand what you're saying, but on the unit, it seems like there is a small bezel, or gasket around it... What I was thinking was too remove that, and go bigger...

I think thats why there's the trackpad now, its bigger then that stupid ball.

I personally been using the trackball without the holder, and have been doing so for quite some time. There are no issues with doing so, however, you can't install a bigger trackball than the oem because the housing for the trackball wouldn't allow it. It is meant to fit snug onto the mainboard. Hope that helps

Dont think you will ever find a larger trackball. If you do please share where you got it.
