So I have a BB Curve 8530 with weathereye and my theme has the weather slot for it...problem is that it doesn't load the weather unless I click on it everytime and it kinda defeats the purpose of having it...so I was curious was their any better weather apps than weathereye

There are probably hundreds of threads on this and everyone will have their opinion.

I use weather bug and am very happy with it.

I also have a 8530, and you need to be sure that you have a theme that will allow it's icons to update on the home screen automatically. I am a BerryWeather (BeWeather Free) user, because I like the temperature badge, and it's free.

Berryweather is by far the best for various streaming locations at the sametime.

For a simple self-updating weather / temp icon, BBWeather. Just works, and can't beat free!

I prefer the icon on beweather over weather bug because it has the temp integrated into the icon and you have to mouse over weather bug's to see the temp, but I like seeing the forecast summary on weather bug.

I have an 8530 and have the homescreen slot for a weather app also. I use beweather free for that, and also installed the weather channel app. Its free and gives me tons of detailed info including radar maps.

Has weather channel app gotten any better. I tried it a few months back and it was a HUG memory hog. It leaked memory bad.

I really liked BeWeather when I tried it but without a radar option I had to remove it.

I just installed the weather channel app yesterday. So far so good. No issues yet.

I've got WeatherBug and I like it. I was having problems working Berryweather, probably my fault.
