    I have a 6 week old 8530 Blackberry and am using Desktop Manager. The Manager states I have updates available. I am using the USB cord to connect the phone and it is synching with no problem. But when I try to load updates in the Application Loader I get this message: Application loader could not connect to your device. This is AFTER I get a very long "Task in Progress" window that makes it seem like something is loading. It says to unattach my phone and start over, which I have done several times. I have also taken out the phone battery and restarted the computer.

    Now what do I do?

    I would try removing and re-installing desktop manager. Make sure you have the most current version as well.

    What updates is it saying are available? Is it something you can do OTA? Doesn't solve the problem, but at least you could get the updates done.
