I had two Storms (9530s( running on AT&T, then a 9000. I can tell you, the 9700 is absolutely the best Berry Ive had, out of about 20 over the last four years.

    9700 all the way.

Everybody I know who had the Storm, sold it (or offloaded it to a family member :P) and went to a Bold2.

Some even went to a Curve 8520.

Everybody hates the "SurePress" screen. Even on the Storm2.

I have. I have the storm2 and the bold2. They're both good devices. I really miss my storm when I'm using the 9700, because I really like the screen real estate. The Bolds screen is just too small for me. I love the bolds battery life, but form factor wise, it's a downgrade from the 9000. But the added memory and the better camera was worth all the while for me. But the storm2 is a great device as well, but battery life sucks and typing is a little slower (not much), but I do make more mistakes typing on the storm than on the Bold.

So: yes, I have BOTH devices. I love the 9520 and I love my 9700.

I have both the 9530 and 9700. The 9530 is currently collecting dust. I'm going to list it for sale as soon as I get to 100 posts.

I just recently got my sister-in-laws boyfriend to give a Bold 2 a shot as he was messing on mine yesterday. He currently has a Storm1 and likes it, but he said he is tired of all the freeze ups and battery pulls. Told him battery pulls are quite a necessity, but shouldn't have to do one everyday or 4-5x a day like he was, eek! He was really enjoying my phone and he said he would check into it.

He really wants a Driod though, which is a nice phone, but still rather have my 9700...

I went from 9530 to 9700 and never looked back. The 9530 was my first bb, having the 9700 has been a much better bb experience for me. I haven't missed the screen real estate, find the speed makes experience more enjoyable.

It was the same for me. But going back and playing with the 9530 every so often, is when I miss the screen size.

i had both, but was using the storm 2 unlocked. While i loved that screen the sticky buttons, and the triple clicking was just to much of a pain. When i got the phone i didn't need to tether, but i do now. So i traded it for a bold 9000 (plus cash of course). I couldn't be happier, my 9700 is still my daily driver, but knowing that i can switch and still get 3G is great to me.

Went from the 9530 to the 9700.

I did enjoy my 9530 - and kept up to date with the leaks and whatnot, but I really like the speed of my 9700 and the (relative) stability.
