i know it doesnt have one and it starts in the 8320, but i found you can buy the antenna with wifi on it from the 8320. the description on the product says all 8300 phones. so i want to know if i can install this and get wifi on my curve, and maybe theres some software i can download.
I've been asking this question for ever and repeatedly get shut down. The way I see it is a curve is a curve and the differences are the antennas to get cdma or gsm. I have an 8330 and would love wifi.
Once you get past the junk everyone runs you down on replacing the antennas its a new battle between the os for an 8330 not being able to handle the wifi because it doesn't have the option. ... Well people make hybrids from all sorts of different os and platforms together, would it really be that hard to include the wifi option in a hybrid from an 8320 os? Please if there is a way for this to work, LET ME KNOW

The chipsets and CPU are completely different between the GSM and CDMA models - it's a different mainboard. It's not a question of "hard", the physical components are simply not there.
as said above, it cannot be done. even if you add the hardware, the phones main board will still identify it as an 8310, therefore preventing you from installing any software (an 8320 OS) to enable and run it. it cannot be done. if you want wifi that bad, you can pick up a used 8320 for under $100 these days.
