I'm considering switching from Nextel to Sprint... Waiting for the new Tour 2(or Bold as they are now calling it)... When tethering with these phones on the Sprint network-are calls still able to come through/ring/talk? Unfamiliar with the whole tethering option, as Nextel and the 8350i BB don't allow the tethering option. Thanks.
Yes. Your calls come in when you are tethered the traditional way and also when using the Tether app. However, your data connection is cut off when the phone is ringing or in a call.
I assume you're talking about one of the 3rd party tethering apps, as Sprint no longer offers PAM (Phone As Modem) on normal plans. Here's the answer to your question: FAQs | Tether
