Fake, but interesting
It's an interesting idea to get rid of the four dedicated bottom buttons, though I think it'll trip up a lot of people.
The focus of the Storm 3 should be "polish, polish, polish" in terms of the UI widgets, the OS touch implementation and general usability. When I used the Storm 2 I found myself constantly frustrated with the touch implementation - it seemed wildly inconsistent. For all the slagging of the iPhone on these boards I found the iPhone touch extremely reliable, consistent and understandable. Also, the bundled BB apps and widgets feel extremely dated when compared to those on iPhone, WebOS or Android. Looks sell just as much as features and cost do.
If only 6.0 could look, feel and be developed on, more like WebOS
02-27-10 12:14 PM - Not that I believe someone with 3 posts, but I'm just curious...you all seem to be experts on what's "real" and what's "fake". What makes the picture "fake"? Because it's a little pixelated? You don't think designers do renderings of the phones before they go to production, and that this could possible have been a low resolution thumbnail that was enlarged? Manufacturers don't just push a magic button on their machines and spit out a phone. If that's the case, I guess this is fake too:
