Please let us know how it is. I downloaded the 4.5.18 version that was posted a week ago. What are the difference in them?

I have downloaded it. However, I am wondering if I should replace my .42 Beta with the .37 Official.

I installed on my 8320. The .42 beta runs much smoother than the .37. I'm pretty sure the memory leak was fixed.

The standard procedure is as follow:

Here are the instructions for installing:

    1. Make sure you have the latest version of Desktop Manager installed. It's 4.3, download from BlackBerry - BlackBerry - Sys Req V4-3
    2. Download the official OS 4.5 file to the PC then install it to the PC by running the file you downloaded. (Choose the Curve 8310)
    3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
    4. Plug in BB and Open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.

Have some patience, this could take an hour to complete. DO NOT unplug the device until it is finished!

This is the official release they are speaking about!!

Nobody with an 8320 has an official release yet. And none of the official releases available will work with the 8320 either (not compatible).

As for upgrading from the .42 Beta to the .37 official, seems like a no-brainer. yeah!! The official would be better than a Beta, no matter what the version number is.

Side Note:: I am really looking forward to an official release for the 8320 that supports UMA and WiFi

I just tried installing it but it went waaaay to fast and I dont think it worked right. Im trying again now...

Edit: I just tried reinstalling it. This makes no sense i've thrown on 3 betas now, and the official release is the only one I cant load. I had the beta of .37 running today and I tried installing the official copy but the thing is its just not installing. The browser has the same problems it always did. If i pass over a text box and my cursor flashes to the text box if I try to go back it turns to a hand and becomes unusable. I deleted the vendor xml but still its just not installing properly. It doesnt even ask to back up anything. It doesnt even use the desktop manager. I tried having DM running and it told me to close it. It basically goes throught a half installation deleting the old .37 msi and installing this new one, nothing changed.

Installed it yesterday afternoon. Nearly 24 hours in and so far so good. No HTML email, but I think I read somewhere that is server dependent.

Not necessarily unless your carrier is Vodafone. If it's not your carriers official release, then it never 100%. Even then it's not, but you'll be covered.
