It was probably just a typo since the 8530 and 8350 are easy to interchange. My guess is that we have the best we will get for a while. 5.0 or a new iden Blackberry.
Now this is some good news! Hmmm.... what have they improved on? Its such a fine tuned communications device! And a great paperweight too! Maybe it will make it more heavy, so you can place more paper under it.
If you click on the download link for RIM in the above post, our phones are mysteriously missing from the pick list. Of course this makes sense, but I just wanted to point this out.
I'm willing to upgrade or downgrade to get rid of .313. I don't see how anything else could be much worse, considering the DC issues.
Don't be surprised if we do get an update, usually when I have severe texting problems as I did last week when I wasn't getting any at all and I am having all week long where they are coming in in dribs and drabs, we usually get an update. I called Sprint on Sunday to fix it. Talking with the CS rep she went over the usual stuff, master reset, resend service books, and resetting on her side, then she made a comment to me she wanted to make sure I had the latest OS, she said either 413 or 438 (she said it so fast I didn't catch it) is the latest. I told her no I have 313 which is the latest. She told me no, but she had better check she got on the website and said yes you are correct 313 is the latest "released" OS.. This leads me to believe there will be an update to 5.0 very soon. Now for the usual disclaimers (used to the Tour 2 forum) this is only my opinion and what I gather was a mistake by the CS rep..

That's because that is for Sprint phones. RIM still has a section for Nextel here.
I've tried toying with a hybrid using 8250, 8900, and 8330 with no luck. I'm sure we could easily pull the radio file from the .204 and use the remainder of the .313 if you are having issue with that portion and if texting was better on .204, we could pull that file in also. I can't tell with is better on the texting. I didn't get all my ESPN alerts last night on .313 where when the phone was new, I had no issues.
My phone forced and update to 313 the other day when I was restoring from my backup after wipping the phone with 204 to try and fix something.
Not a happy camper.
Same thing happened to me when I was backing up. I was p oed. Had to wipe and reinstall .204. I don't know and much care if it is phone related or iden system related. Getting tired of dealing with this POS phone/service all together.

Now thats funny right there! Haaha! I honestly think that my 8350i, when in its Otterbox Defender case, would probably kill somebody if I chucked it real hard!
I keep checking too. I called support the other about no email and while I was waiting for the phone to start back up I asked the tech about 5.0 and she had no clue, or atleast acted like she didn't. And then she did say be cautious about installoing new updates because they release it and let us test it.

Gotta agree with Jim Dirt.. Bring it on some of us have been testing what Sprint calls "Virus" since day one.. (It's a Virus until they say it has been released)..
