Hello all,
I am new to Crackberry.
I am having the following problem with my Blackberry Curve 8900. I cannot play youtube videos on it. It says "Cannot find web address, verify that this web address is valid."
I live in Puerto Rico ( U.S. Territory in the Caribbean)
My cell phone carrier is Claro Puerto Rico, I am on their GSM network ( They have both CDMA and GSM)
I have an EDGE connection.
I am using the Blackberry browser and I am using youtube's mobile site. m.youtube.com
I have already tried using Opera and Bolt and they redirect me to the Blackberry Browser and open the media player
I called Claro and they told me nothing is wrong with my settings, etc and they cannot provide further support .
I am running the latest OS offered by my carrier which is: 4.6.1.250 (Platform 4.2.0.113)
I can play youtube videos using a Wi-Fi connection, however I can't using my phone's EDGE connection
PLEASE HELP ME! I don't know what else to do!
Thanks!

Reason: missing info
This isn't a fix exactly, but the app Vision for Youtube is a fantastic app for blackberry (I have it on my 8900). It's free and pretty smooth. Good luck.
Also: I found that if I store the youtube address (m.youtube.com) as a favorite in the BB browser, then edit the favorite parameters and tell it to use the WAP browser, it works every time. Essentially -- WAP browser does youtube well, while the Internet browser seems to get stuck. WAP does youtube streaming better, and going in via a favorite with settings explicitly using the WAP browser fixed my youtube issues completely.
Mine does the same thing, I saved m.youtube.com as favorite, but the only browser opions are internet, hot spot, or T-Mobile. How do I make it go to wap?

I have the same porblem as Nute426 also. MY only options are hotspot and internet browser. the wap button on my phone leads me to my service provider's webpage Ideas Claro. But i can't browse from there beacuse there is no go to option in the menu.
I read somewhere EDGE does not support video which does not make sense to me because not every blackberry user on an EDGE/GPRS connection is having this problem
Thanks for all your help guys and Nadej I love the VIsion app, although it did not resolve my problem. I called Claro, My cell phone carrier and they told me they are having problems with video streaming on Blackberry and they are working on it and hope to fix it soon!
Thanks
