Ok for real though.... No i dont at all. THe processor is so much faster. I have had to do a battery pull 2 times since I got it in Dec and that was because I went to some redi webiste that took a year to load. Runs very smooth and fast.
The browser and 5.0 is nice too. browsing seems to be much much faster.
And I love the trackpad over the ball.
The screen although same resolution looks alot better. I think because of the type of plastic they used. it is much more clear.
From time to time I do. I miss the feel of the 8330 keys and the flash on the camera, which I mostly used as a flashlight to get down my girlfriends treacherous outdoor stairs. I also thought it was better in terms of volume. But the pros of the 8530 outweigh the cons. Wi-fi, more memory, track pad, threaded sms, faster processor, etc. Make the change, if those are your only two options.
I just upgraded to the 8530 from the 8130 pearl and I would never switch back. I wasn't sure about the bigger size, but have had no issues with it. I like the new OS and all the new features. This is probably the best phone I have ever owned.
I had to call Sprint about my business phone (Samsung Moment) and the tech kept asking me if I was there. She said there wasn't any background noise and wanted to know what phone I was using. I told her it was the 8530 and she told me that it sounded like being in the same room. She bought one and emailed me to let me know. She couldn't even hear me using the microwave. That is great sound quality....better than the iPhone.

You can always download BerryTorch from AppWorld...
I like the phone but the battery life is horrible, even with the recent OS update I see no change in battery life. I'm not sure what I could do, the essex (tour 2) is too big for me that's what I love about the Curve series.
I'm liking my new 8530 a lot. I actually didn't mind the trackball on my old Pearl that it is replacing much, but the touchpad is the bomb. Loving the faster processor and greater app memory, wifi is a godsend also
Those complaining of battery issues versus the old Curve:
A) Are you running wifi all the time?
B) Do you have the latest OS update installed?

The only only only thing I miss about the 8330 is the keyboard. I feel like the 8530 is a little cramped. Other than that, I don't even kind of miss it.
