I'm perplexed.

This is my 1st BlackBerry so I don't know what to expect. I keep the 9700 on vibrate most of the time & use the jawbone headset alot.

Every other phone I've had, if I assign a ringtone to a number, when that number calls me, I hear the ringtone in the headset when I'm using it.

Not so with the 9700. I hear just a set of tones in the headset.

If I use the normal sound profile on the BB, I will hear the ringtone on the BB but not in the headset.

Is this the way the 9700 works or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong.

I've never had a custom ringtone play through a headset on any of my phones or headsets.

Currently using a Plantronics Voyager Pro.

Thanks Ebedoun. Must be the way Motorola makes their phones. My old Razr's always played the ringtones in the headset.

i use a parrot car kit and it also has it's own ringtone.
