    Hi

My BES has been running fine, however since adding an exch 2007 server calendar items won't sync from device to Exchange, nor do users get meeting request pop ups any more.

My bes mailbox is on the exch 2007 envirnoment and exchange is at sp2. BES version is 4.1.7 and CDO.dll is 6.5.8131 all recommended by RIM.

Users in the Exch 2003 environment are still sync'ing back and forth fine but when I move a user to exch 2007 the issue starts.

    Any ideas ?

Sorry should have said, already tried that without success, so have reverted back to 6.5.8131

The BESAdmin account is on the Exchange 2007 box, but where are the users who are having this problem?

The way I understand it is that once you move your BES account to the Exchange 2007 box and start using the new CDO versions the calendar items (and maybe more?) will stop working for users on the Exchange 2003 side.

Or have you already migrated users to the Exchange 2007 box and they are still having this issue?

Thanks for the reply, the bes mailbox was on the 2003 server. We had users on exch 2003 and exch 2007. Only the exch 2007 users had a problem, the exch 2003 users worked fine. I have since moved the bes mailbox to 2007 thinking that was something else to try but no difference. So at the moment the bes mailbox is on 2007, exch 2003 users are working perfectly but users on exch 2007 still don't sync properly. We have built a bes 5 server from new and tried it but users with mailboxes on exch 2007 still don't work. I think it's a permission problem on exch 2007 but they have been checked and all seem fine.

When we log into outlook with the bes account we could not open another BB users calendar if they are on exch 2007. We have given the bes account full access to their mailbox and now it works. Do we have to add these permissions manually for every user who uses a BB ? This seemed to be inherited permissions in Exch 2003. Or have we got something wrong in Exch 2007 ?

We found a workaround, we have to go into each bb user mailbox and give the bes account full permission to the whole mailbox and it starts working. This is a pain as we have to do this for every new bb user.

But, at least we are now working.
