My blackberry bold was stolen! Crackberry members i need your help
- I posted a thread a couple days ago about how my blackberry bold was stolen from me in the middle of a mall by some little punk who just walked up to me and grabbed it from my hand and ran away. I was in so much shock and the most upsetting part is that I was on crutches when it happened so i couldnt chase. I didnt know what to do and noone would help me stop him!! what a world we live in. Anyways I called rogers 5 times over the past 2 days and have been getting different stories about whether or no the bold was even registered on my ACCOUNT OR NOT :s two reps said it was and three said it wasnt so I have NO IDEA if the phone was even blacklisted by rogers because they couldnt tell me! I was so confused by what they were telling and so upset since i just bought the phone off contract last week!
So anyways this is where i need your help EVERYONE.... THE PIN NUMBER OF MY STOLEN BLACKBERRY BOLD IS 207b1669
I would like to request that everyone with a blackberry send a PIN MESSAGE TO THIS LOSER WHO STOLE MY PHONE just to give HIM the hassle of having to DEAL with all the messages.
That is the only form of payback i can do. I contacted the police but of course they cant do much with the video tapes in the mall because the kid could be anyone.
If anyone is willing to help I would be very grateful.01-31-10 04:30 PMLike 0 - Too bad there is not some fatal virus that could be sent via PIN.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com01-31-10 05:46 PMLike 0 - ^^ no kidding that's exactly what I was thinking like what this world come to that I have to be scared to hold my phone in my hands in the middle of a mall without someone stealing it. Like what did I do to deserve this you know
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com01-31-10 06:03 PMLike 0 - Have you tried BBM'ng the thief and offering a hefty reward. Tell him you don't care about him stealing from you and if he'll just put it in the mail the you'll send him some money. Maybe they're stupid enough to fall for it. Threaten a remote security wipe if they don't comply so the phone will be useless, at least the thief can get you to buy it back from them.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com01-31-10 06:27 PMLike 0 - ^ I have no idea because the phone was not actually disactivated but the sim card was turned off that's all they could do for me. So I got a new sim card and had it activated. The phone however is still fully functioning according to the suprivisor I was talking to today. I am just so confused about this whole thing and if the phone is still working or not because one person at Rogers tells me it was deactivated then I call back and another person tells me it's still active because she said there is no history of anything happening on my account! So I honestly gave up and this was the first thing I though of was to come here and ask for all your help. I'm not sure if he has to have a BIS account for it to work or not and long as he has a blackberry plan it will work I think. But does anyone have any other ideas to mess with this guy? I tried adding him to bbm but no answer.

- Nope the punk never replied to me yet I have pinned him about 50 times already so I hope he's starting to get annoyed cause that's all I can do.

I entered your pin, but it just sent and invite message? So the way BBM works is I have to have my invitation accepted before I can send them a real message?02-01-10 05:56 AMLike 0
- @littlereddot - Yes, you need to accept them before you can send a message.
I'm very sorry this happened to you. I'm sure now you wish you did, but we all really need to have our Berries password locked with auto wipe turned on. We are the power users who can really get hurt from a stolen Berry. I know many think it is an inconvenience to have to enter a password every 2 minutes you want to use your phone, but I honestly feel comfort in knowing my Berry is safe every time I enter my own password. Just 4 key strokes.02-01-10 06:51 AMLike 0 - ^ I have no idea because the phone was not actually disactivated but the sim card was turned off that's all they could do for me. has anyone gotten a response from that ***** yet?02-01-10 11:47 AMLike 0 - I will talk to my IT friends at work and see if they can contact RIM directly and lock your PIN. No guarantees but if I can get this favor, it will limit more of the BB functions so this little punk won't get to enjoy it.02-01-10 08:10 PMLike 0
