Nothing major but,I just learned that when you are txting reg. or BBM, when I type the letters l and t and then hit the space bar, the time and am/pm show up on the screen! I guess since it is a "global phone" that typing "lt" stands for local time. Just a little tip/ fun fact for us Tour owners.
You mean like this 21:59:59?(I'm on 24 hour clock) On my 8330/4.5.0.175 (myver) or today, Sat, Jan 23, 2010

Ahh, it's all good. They're AutoText shortcuts that are preloaded. I have over 600 shortcuts that do a lot of different things.
Many of the most used help threads and info posts are there, pop in some letters and a lot of typing is saved. Some of the info is larger, and I just cut down the unnecessary parts after I drop it in the post box.

Yeah, this is the one auto text that gives me a head ache. Every time I'm e-mailing my lieutenant, it takes me a while to realize that it had inserted the local time instead of his title (Lt.)

In your case, I would just remove the autotext entry for lt.

Just like the AutoText for I'll is IL. But I use IL for Illinois. So I'll is now ilp.
And in AutoText, here's another tip. Cb typed this way gives me CrackBerry, while CB does this CRACKBERRY. Yal makes Ya'll. And yal makes ya'll. Capitalize the first letter, it stays that way. All letters in caps will cap the whole AutoText.
And of course, the contraction for it is. It's. Since its is normal, I made itr become it's. A little practice, it becomes fluid to use.
Gtd becomes get 'er done. Favorite phrases saves a lot of typing.

While my autotext settings deviate from Beast's, the important thing is to find what's comfortable, and take as full an advantage of it as possible. For example, there's smart case, where it will add your autotext cap/non-cap where appropriate, and specified case, where no matter what part of a sentence you locate it, the way it's entered in autotext, is the way it appears. That's especially handy for names. I type someone's full name, and it pops into cap when I hit the next key.
I'm Hand Javin' baby!
WAPers do it With A Passion If everyone spoke Wulfanese, they wouldn't need to click here for a translation.

I love this function. Two of the custom ones I've put in are " s" (that's space s) becomes 's so that I don't have to find the apostrophe. And the letter n by itself inserts an & sign. I hate that & isn't on the main keyboard. I also type yall for y'all (contraction for "you all" so the apostrophe goes before the "a" - silly spelling pet peeve of mine ). I tend not to type in "textspeak" but in real words, so this function is very helpful.
