I'm trying to sync my contacts using google sync for the first time ever. I already have contacts in my contacts on my 9700.
So, every time I go to sync my phone using google sync I get this error message, "Uncaught Exception: Application GoogleSync_40_en(172) is not responding; process terminated."
Does anyone know why this is happening? And is there a solution?

even though the calender syncs fine? Should I delete it and reinstall?

Yes, delete the application and re install it again. I had the same problem... I re installed it and did a battery pull. Works just fine now. Hope it works out :]

Syncing is vital to me!! Google doesn't cut it! It gave me three weeks of problems, plus it is not a true two way sync. It was one of the main factors in my returning to the iPhone. Now, it was not the only problem, but they to go beyond the OP.

MobileMe is spectacular, and well worth the $100.00 a year.

The iPhone has it's problems, but I can cope with them.
