    Hi,

I plugged my Storm into my PC and started DM. Found it straight away.

The notification email came from RIM and not VodaFone Australia.

It is for the 9500 so ok for the EU. Plug your phone into your PC, start RIM DeskTop Manager and click upgrade.

we don't have it here so if you can upload your update files to a server like rapidshare etc.. then we can all enjoy it

I did not download a file as I normally do. I used DM to find the update and to do the update of the phone. First time I ever used DM to do a update.

    Just finished the update.

yes but the file will be temporarily downloaded to an folder

First tick the box that you can see all files and folders

then normally it will go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader Cache/appdata/

So look in that folder it will have 2 folders called JAVA and CDMA
Strap them in winrar etc... and put them on rapidshare etc...

I smell a hybrid incoming. The 9530 hasn't gotten a leak in a while, only the 9500 and 9520. I guess it's for all those times last year when the 9530 got 5.0 leaks and the 9500s had to wait

Seems most carriers are doing releases like this recently....

It's only available to you because you PIN is associated with your carrier....other people only see the releases from their carrier when they plug in the way you updated.

There will probably be a file available for all in a few days.....you computer however downloaded the files locally when you updated and you could share them if your willing to be bothered to do so....

Noticed camera zoom finally does 2x zoom and picture taking is very fast.

Uploading compressed Java and CDMA folders to Megaupload (41mb). Still slow but better than RapidShare.
