hey there, i'm looking for a standard zen with calendar today and messages today (including sms and mms). i've read that there is an issue with sms/mms today cause of os5.

is it still possible to create something like that?

You cant go wrong with precision zen remix by Rockee. There is about 40 versions to choose from. it sounds like this is the one you want.
