I recently made the switch from iPhone to BB 9700, not regretted it in the slightest. Whilst some aspects of the device can take a little getting used to, the overall user experience is great.

I'm all but ready to get a Bold 9700 and get rid of my iphone. However, the one question that I have to have answered before I visit my ATT store is about syncing with itunes. Am I able to sync all itunes music and movies with BB?

You can only sync non-DRM music from iTunes to your BB. Syncing is also done via iTunes playlists so you also won't be able to sync songs one-by-one. Having said that, it syncs pretty good and easy to use.

My daughter has both. She says much easier to type on BB. I tried hers and typed my first ever sentence on a BB. A complex sentence. Nailed it the first time. Course I can type. But still impressed enough that I bought the 9700. She said too many errors with i-phone.

Im actually considering the same move....ive had my iphone 3g since sept of 08 and im getting bored with it...

before the iphone i had the curve....things i miss about the curve

    BATTERY LIFE
    BBM
    Multi tasking HUGE PLUS
Loudness of the overall phone including speaker phone
Multi sounds for text, calls and emails
light to tell me i have an email or text or voicemail
overall size of the curve or bold 9700 (no case needed on the 9700 i see with the leather back)

my list can go on but im a huge apple fan. my main focus at work is apple products (apple specialist)

web surfing is great on the iphone but im really getting impatient with no updates to the OS and the battery is horrible. Every where i go i have to be near a charger...its getting old..

dont know if i can wait it out till june to see what they come up with...

how has your experience changing from the iphone to 9700 bold ?

I come from four years on the iphone and now two months on the 9700. I can honestly say the bold is better. Pretty much a repeat of what everyone else says here. If your not convinced look at the themes available as well. Nothing like that for the iphone. I can't stop trying new ones. Put you weather and hidden today info on the home screen and its awesome. Also the calendar blows the iphones away. Once you go black you never go back.

Wow 4 years...how did you do that when its only out 2 years

anyways...another feature that i miss is the ability to put the phone to sleep at certain times...i used to have it set to shut off at 1am and come back on at 8am during the week...which would help with the battery..

does the 9700 bold allow you to do this ?

Yes, you can set an auto on/off time for weekends and a different one for weekdays. Go to options and then find "auto on/off"

    I use both the BB9700 and the iPhone 3Gs - 32GB

If you can keep both then its the best as you will end up having the best two phones made till date...

I did the same thing a week ago.. the only thing I miss from the iPhone are the apps... basically facebook, which personally I think that in BB sucks. Other than that my 9700 is really cool. The battery life is just amazing.I am one week into BlackBerry, and I LOVE IT.

burn cd's of those and re rip them to mp3 files with different software and re import it back into itunes and bye bye DRM. ive been doing this for years when i need to.

there is software to remove DRM but it sounds like a hassle
