after having very painfull experience with HTC touch pro 2 went and exchanged it for bold 9700
and besides a gigantic screen and PDF reading i dont really miss anything on that phone.
i did miss a camera flash, better picture quality, full keyboard one handed operation, email that actually works, and ease of use.
i mean just like they said there are tonns of tweaks available for that platform.
but once you get in e TWEAK loop you forget what the purpose of the phone is and keep modding it untill u drop.
theres no real program to make themes, just like any windows you stuck to single layout. they have something similar to window blinds, made by HTC that lays over and makes a nice interface but its buggy and kinda slow with that phone.
now if you were talking about HTC HD2 vs any blackberry then theres no question HD2 will roll up and smoke any blackberry available.
i had played with one for few minutes and it was fn amazing.
but the phone is gigantic with a big 800x480 capacitive touch screen etc.
and has enough processing power to make windows run smooth.
but for now im will be staying with blackberry because it does precisely what it should do.
the biggest plus for me is one handed operation for everything.
yea i was impressed with the speed of that thing man. i only held it for a minute or two but there was absolutely no lag.
but the phone is gynormous. its almost crossing the line into a PDA world
id say its a PDA with phone features
WindowsMobile is an acquired taste. It isn't for everyone. I am not excited about the HD2. Underneath it all is WindowsMobile and I don't want any part of that.

lol at least im not gonna ***** about the limitations too much
but to keep my image alive ill throw one in for old time sake
the 9700 keyboard sux its not made for one hand typing
umm screen is small(er than touch pro 2)
and i accidentally made the password that i couldnt replicate so it wiped the device lol which is kinda cool to know that it has that kind of security
does anyone know how to change the minimum requirement for password? its kinda long
Blackberry has that effect on all of us. I am not going to lie though I am saving my upgrade for that 4th gen iPhone since the iPhone 3G was my 1st smartphone lol
WinMo phones suck so badly. They work for a week then get all these bugs out of no where and so down like no tomorrow. I hated my Blackjack when I had it a few years ago cause of WinMo.
