Step 1: Download desired OS to your PC.
Step 2: Install and complete the setup process to have the OS installed.
Step 3: Remember to delete vendor.xml file if your carrier the OS is not from your carrier.
Step 4: Do a comprehensive backup in case anything goes wrong.
Step 5: Connect Bold to PC and click on the Loader and let the process initiate. Loader can be found in the same folder as the vendor.xml file.
Step 6: Do not unplug the Bold during the process. Process may take around 30-60 minutes to complete.

Questions that I have and need help with
1. where do I find vendor.xml file?
2. I have the link saved on my desk top but how do I load it onto device? I tried connecting to desk top manager and when I click application loader this update does not appear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Oops - do you have an 8900 or a 9000? Your profile says 9000, but your original post says 8900. If it's an 8900 you're trying to install this to, it'll never work - the software you downloaded is for a 9000. They're not interchangeable.

When I double click on the OS install it starts but does not finish. I get the attached screen capture as if it is looking to be run from the command prompt with additional arguments ?
Has any one seen this and can assist ?
Thanks in advance
