Does anyone have an issue with their Storm's (Verizon) signal reception? My signal will sometimes fluctuate nonstop for long periods of time (where it'll be at 3+ bars and then suddenly drop to 0 bars for seconds, and then go back and forth for quite awhile). And it's not merely a display issue, because when I'm downloading data or sending messages, they pause during this signal fluctuation.

If you have not already done so, you might try *228 option 2 from your phone.

    What does this do?

It updates your roaming capabilities, or "towers". If there are new towers in your area (or w/e) then you will get better signal.

It is a good idea to update using the *228 periodically. Maybe once a month or so.

Try going to manage connections and turning off your radio for a minute. Then restore your connection. Works for me every time.

This works for Verizon, but I don't know if it works for your carrier. From your phone, you dial *228 and then choose option 2.

It might be an application causing this, Or you need to clean all 3 memory sections--all browser cache--registration cleaner--event log, after that turn off phone then pull battery and leave out for 30 seconds start it up then dial *228 press 1 wait till success, you should be good to go, not unless one of your user application is the one to blame..

I'm good at keeping up on maintenance and still kept messing up even after multiple Battery pulls I changed nothing in phone and the problem seemed to have gone away . I also did the *228 deal after the first two pulls and still had issues . Seems like a network problem but that's just speculation. But has been two days now no problem.

Happy to hear that is now seems to be working. I suspect there may have been some intermittent network problems, because I was getting 1xev last night and that never happens here (Southern Arizona). The *228 corrected it for me.

After owning the storm for a year and handling others storms i have found that the sgnal jumping s inherent of the phone....the siganl meter jumps around all the time and i never drop calls so i just chalk it up to being a inherent oddity ogf the phone.

This is more a Verizon issue (sounds like a bad tower near you), as others said a PRL update (*228 option 2) can help. I am moving the thread to the Verizon Forum.
