I'm running the official OS 4.7 and for the longest time I'd have to recharge my tour half way through the day. As I am typing this I'm @ 70% and it's been on since 5 o'clock this morning. Haven't done anything different Just maybe it's just now getting broke in after 5 months?
I've only had my Tour for 2 weeks now but the battery life is pretty decent. With heavy use, I may have to put it on the charger before bed but we're talking a from 8 AM until midnight.
Most of the time it lasts all day with no problem.
it depends on the day for me. Generally by 6:00 when I get home for work I have to put it on the charger. I also have a USB at work incase I need to charge it earler.
I run my tour hard during the day by like five thirty in the afternoon I'm at 50%, I have kept using it until it dies to see how far it will go, and it takes me to about nine to nine thirty in the night to re-up on power.

My battery life is really amazing with my tour, i take it off the charger at 7am everyday and I dont put it back on until like 3am the next day or later at that, and I do some extreme emails and also alot of texting too. I never had issues with the battery life thats one of the huge things that I love about my phone.
I seem to have decently improved batt life with .419 over .230. Been off the charger for a little over 9 hours, about 1 hour of talk time, one hour of internet usage, and probably 30 texts, still at 70%.

since i upgraded to .419 my battery life has been just amazing ill take it off the charger around 9am and by the time i put it on the charger before bed at 11pm its still at 75%-80% with moderate use
My battery life changes according to what OS/hybrid I have installed. .230 with certain hybrids improve battery life, while others kill it.
I'm running .419 now (no hybrid), and my phone actually died yesterday at the end of my shift (which has never happened before). I'm waiting for a new hybrid to pop out for it (there are 4 out now that were slapped together in a hurry, but they are mostly meant for people to survey which files are better so they can put out a good hybrid).
I should have been more descriptive.
On at 6 am / 50% by 3pm dead at 9 - 10 pm
Apps I use lightly during the day, fb,twixtreme, weather network.
Never make calls, rarley send txts.
Heavy used program is bbm. 4 groups and talking to 5-6 people a day.
Never leave 3rd party apps running in the background.
So I guess my battery life is average.
Do you guys that have great battery life leave apps running in the background?

My battery life was ok on 4.7, loaded .419 the other day and battery life got worse for first couple days, then today, off charger at 8am, Ubertwitter running ALL day updating every 15 min., light web brwsing, about 20-30 minutes of phone calls, and about 20-30 texts, and at midnight I still have 75% battery. Really weird, I have not plugged in all day, hopefully this trend continues.

i still use the official 4.7 OS. usually I carry a second battery with me to swap out when my battery dies halfway thru the day...for the past 2 days..i've been getting real good battery life...coincidence with OP?
VZW Official 4.7 OS and no battery issues (any more). For whatever reason, it changes about every two weeks or day to day with the weather. It seems that if the weather is nasty, I have nasty battery life. Likewise, if its sunny out, I get much better battery life. Must be something with my service signal or something... Maybe it's just my imagination. Beyond the weather conditions, it seems that my batter life---with the same amount of usages as normal---will last all day (which for me begins at 4:30 am and ends around 11 pm) and then two weeks later will need charged everday around 4 pm. It is very odd, but now following this predictable pattern. Anyone else having this weird kind of very good, then very bad battery-life issue?
Most battery issues come with the device having to search for signal or changing signal types. I know on Sprint network when i went in and changed the Mobile network from Global to 1XEV My battery life improved.
on 4.7 (.65) and my battery is the same its always been.. Usually lasts me till midnight and beyond with moderate use, except on days when I"m on a total email/text frenzy then I have to switch batteries. I have always kept extra batteries on hand with every phone I've ever bought as they're kinda cheap..
