When changing BBerry devices, do messenger contacts change over automatically, or do you have to re-request the contacts?

If you have the newer version (5.0.0.57), then in Options you can back up files/contacts remotely or locally on the SD card before you switch. I just switched to a new device and my contacts were restored with no problem at all (over the air).

But you will have a different PIN from what your contacts think you have.
So wouldn't you have to re-invite them, or vice-a-versa?

The PIN will automatically change for all your contacts when you restore.
