Central and East Coast Florida is one of AT&T's strongest coverage areas. Through the mergers in the 90's they picked up the both the original Bell South Mobility towers and the AT&T wireless services towers.
I can't speak for Osceola but Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Lake are very strong, even in many rural county roads. Check out their coverage map on their website for the specific areas you care most about.
I lived and worked between Jax and Tampa and never had an issue anywhere. A Little dead spot heading to Tampa past lakeland but thats about it. Daytona/Orlando are are VERY storng.
Well, I'm south of Orlando, don't have 3G here, have Edge and WiFi. I have no problems what-so-ever. My sister has mostly 3G where sha is but we don't see that much of a difference in speed bwteen hers and mine.
