I heard read the mention of a "task manager" on a blackberry device. Is there such a thing? If so, how do I access that?

Oh! That's the task manager? I thought that was the application switcher or something. I was thinking of something that tells you what apps are currently running or something like that. Does anything like that exist?

Yes, there is an app here on Crackberry, if you look under Downloads, then select Free Blackberry Software section and its called TaskManager.

Near as I can tell, all the core BB apps cannot be turned off. Stands to reason though....

Phone, Browser, Blackberry mesenger, Messages, Home Screen, Visual Voice Mail (depending on carrier) will not close.
